Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Women’s Health Division within Gynaecology for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and vibrant individual to join our administration team. We are looking for a full time Administration Assistant who will support the team in the day-to-day delivery of services to ensure there is high quality patient care across the relevant subspecialties. The role is predominantly based in the Elizabeth Garret Anderson Wing at University College London Hospitals.

The ideal candidate will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility and ability to prioritise is essential. They will be able to build key working relationship with both admin and clinical colleagues in the Benign Gynaecology Team.

The successful candidate will be joining a busy and fast paced department and will have the opportunity to work with a range of clinical staff from Reproductive Medicine Unit

The Administration Assistant will report to the RMU Team Leader and has the key responsibilities:

  • Registering patients on an integrated software between two units
  • Sending and uploading patients’ results / documents
  • Liaising with clinical colleagues
  • Supporting with the patients’ pathway including waiting lists and booking appointments
  • Managing patient requests via EPIC and a shared email inbox
  • Actioning feedback surveys
  • Assisting with requests from external partners
  • Working as part of an admin team to support colleagues as needed
The current admin team is based within the Women’s Health division. The successful applicant will be working closely with the clinical and nursing team and other administrators within the team. This enables a supportive atmosphere both from managers and peers.

The successful applicant will be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal skills and be patient focused. We will be seeking applicants that align to the UCLH Values.
