What you’ll be responsible for:

  • To provide a polite and efficient administrative support to the Therapists including incoming telephone calls and responding appropriately to emails.
  • To process referrals and transfers from Acute hospital using Carenotes.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of clinical and administrative correspondence.
  • Prioritise own work appropriately as directed by supervising manager.
  • To work as a supportive member of the team in providing comprehensive administrative support.
  • To accurately type and distribute correspondence, and other documents to deal with all aspects of data processing where training has been provided.

You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:

  • An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS.
  • Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times.
  • A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation

You’ll have the following skills/experience:

  • System knowledge - EMIS
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Needs to be able to manage a patient data base
  • Administration experience
