Are you well organised, confident with computers and great with people? Fairhive are looking for an Administration Assistant to join our busy and friendly Contracts team!
Fairhive is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community but we want to do more. That’s why we are striving to provide 1,000 additional homes by 2025.
As an Administration Assistant at Fairhive you can expect a varied workload and to be a valued member of our team, providing administrative support, essential to the smooth running of the business.
About the Role
We are looking for an organised administrator with good attention to detail and the ability to multi-task to provide essential administrative support to the Contracts team.
The Contracts Team manage planned, investment and cyclical works programmes, along with asbestos management, aids and adaptations and stock condition surveys. The Administration Assistant role is varied and interesting, working with Contract Surveyors providing excellent customer service to Fairhive customers and residents.
On the Job you will:·
- Provide support to the Contracts Team, undertaking administrative duties and resolving customer enquiries
- Liaise with team members, contractors and colleagues throughout the business
- Maintain and update programme spreadsheets and contract files, ensuring accuracy of data
- Process purchase orders and invoices, and assist in updating asset management databases
About You
We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of a variety of administration tasks and who enjoys working with a diverse range of people. You will understand the importance of delivering an efficient and effective service to colleagues and customers.
For this role you will need:
Experience of providing administrative support within a team
A minimum of three GCSE's, O Levels or equivalent
You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
- good communication skills both verbal and written
- attention to detail
- Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise
- the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplined team
- practical problem solving skills
- Computer skills (MS Office)
