You will be joining us at an exciting time as we have just been awarded grant funding to retrofit over 2,200 properties over the next two years.

As Administration Assistant you will be providing clerical support to the Strategic Asset Management Team, whose main function is to deliver decarbonisation projects, manage stock condition data and shape future planned investment in our housing stock.

In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Administration Assistant will involve:

  • Taking and preparation of minutes
  • Preparing letters and other correspondence
  • Setting up and maintaining office systems in support of the effective management of the Directorate and accurate and appropriate record keeping
  • Supporting the monitoring of work plans and action plans to include the updating of progress and chasing of targets
  • Ensuring that all documentation, certification, and records are maintained accurately and appropriately
  • Dealing with enquiries (telephone and personal) including liaison between Stock Condition Surveyors, residents, Citizen contact centre, Housing Officers, Contractors, Consultants, and Resident Liaison Officers to ensure access is gained to carry out stock condition and other surveys.
  • Arranging or generating purchase orders as required.


As Administration Assistant we need you to have:

  • Experience of working in a team and delivering to targets
  • Experience of using administration and IT systems and equipment
  • Experience of performance monitoring and management systems
  • Experience of office procedures and practices
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications
  • A confident assertive and friendly telephone manner
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Adaptability to change
  • Ability to communicate both written and verbally
