The Bridge School is part of Forward Education Trust, a growing Multi Academy Trust established in 2017 serving special schools across the West Midlands area. The Bridge educates children with complex and multiple needs. Children may have Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) or a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Some children have additional needs including visual impairment and hearing impairment and behaviour difficulties. We currently have 90 children in school, but this may grow over the coming few years. The successful candidate will be professional, able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. They will be able to multitask and manage a varied workload prioritizing in a fast-paced environment. They will have strong ICT, literacy, and communication skills. Working with our small friendly school office team offers an exciting range of challenges, you are at the centre of the efficient working of our school working directly with our most important stakeholders – our children, their families and our staff. You will have a direct impact on helping to ensure our school remains successful in the care and education of our children. Key responsibilities will include: providing an efficient and effective administrative service to the school providing excellent reception and switchboard support to the school administration of pupil records including pupil attendance and dinners supporting with financial administration including raising purchase orders and administering online parent payments The Trust is committed to providing continuous professional development for all staff and will endeavour to offer a supportive, motivating, and engaging working environment.
