Great Bear is a leading 3rd party logistics business providing a wide range of ambient warehousing services, shared-user and dedicated transport solutions to a wide variety of customers alongside offering a flexible mix of added-value services to simplify supply chain. We operate over 7 million sq.ft. of warehousing space across 30+ locations in the UK. Our distribution network spans all corners of the country.
Our Northampton site are now recruiting for a Admin Supervisor on a full time basis.
Salary: £28,000.00 per annum
Working hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 - 16:00
The purpose of an Admin Supervisor is to contribute to the success of the site by supporting the day-to-day running of the Admin Team, ensuring that all schedules for inbound and outbound bookings are run efficiently, liaising with Shift Managers hauliers and clients to maintain a smooth flow of work throughout the shift
Key Duties of a Admin Supervisor:
Efficiently managing the inbound & outbound bookings schedule to ensure collection and delivery times are met.- Issuing instructions to designated staff to maintain a smooth flow of inbound and outbound bookings
- Being the initial point of contact for customers
- Communicating issues to Shift Manager in a timely manner to minimise disruption to the schedule.
- Participating as an active member of the Bookings & Admin team, and to offer suggestions for solving problems, improving efficiency, customer and quality focus.
- Maintaining good communication with Operations to ensure late collections and delivery failures are avoided.
- Liaise with Shift Manager with workloads to support Customers requests
- Daily Reporting/Daily Update call to Customer
- Deputise for Admin Manager
Proven experience in- Ability to prioritise work based on scheduling and available resources.
- Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Must be a team player who is capable of working on their own initiative.
- Able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of on-site systems.
- Able to work to tight deadlines.
- PC Literate in Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Should demonstrate the drive and desire to progress.
- Be able to demonstrate a courteous and professional attitude towards customers and third party hauliers.
- Should have good oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to solve problems.
