Responsible for:
If you are successful in your application to this post as Band 6 Acute Physiotherapist, you will be expected to manage and deliver on the responsibilities outlined below – as well as a few not included here, call today to discuss this further:
· To competently carry out full assessments with patients in order to establish base line data.
· To facilitate safe and timely patient discharge and to determine outcome of physiotherapy management of the patient.
· To be able to give appropriate advice to ensure patients understanding, co-operation, compliance and consent.
· Post holder will supervise recently qualified physiotherapists, assistants and students.
· Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their professional and clinical work, working to agreed national and professional standards.
· To facilitate safe and timely patient discharge and to determine outcome of physiotherapy management of the patient.
· Access advice and support from more senior therapists as required as part of training and Continuing Professional Development.
To be successful in applying for this role you will need:
· Recognised BSc Honours degree in physiotherapy or equivalent
· State registration via Health and Care Professions Council
· Evidence of relevant post graduate training including attendance at relevant specialist courses
· Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
· Previous postgraduate clinical experience as a Band 5 in a broad rotational post
· Experience in in a busy acute/surgical setting
· Experience of supervision of students and assistants
· Understanding of clinical effectiveness and its implications for services including experience of quality issues, audit and evidence-based practice.
