Job description
To lead on delivering a high quality activity provision for the patients of Maple Ward, including evenings hours and at weekends, using a variety of meaningful activities both in groups and with individual patients. To work directly with patients with complex needs, providing engagement opportunities to maximise wellbeing and support recovery. To engage patients within an older adult inpatient mental health setting, providing an activity programme, which is appropriate to the needs of patients who have complex and challenging needs (both physical and mental health). To provide direct support to Allied Health Practitioners, nursing staff and the multidisciplinary team, in the context of meaningful activity work on the ward. To work as part of a team, focusing on the direct needs of patients, working across boundaries of care and organisations to promote social inclusion and promote active participation in an individualised recovery plan, using the agreed set of values and skills to underpin their day-to-day work.
