Job description
The fair play foundation is a small charity that runs several well-being programs across North and South Lanarkshire. This position is to join our team of instructors to visit the care homes we work with and deliver our Active Age Program. Our active age program is delivered to 8 residents in care homes. The sessions we deliver range from seated yoga to games designed to aid hand eye coordination, reaction times etc.
This Role requires a HND in sports and fitness and/or a L3 personal trainer qualification. GP referral desirable.
We are looking for individuals that would be comfortable delivering a CPD that they specialize in and or activities using cones, balls, hoops etc. You will be confident in designing your own session and have a basic understanding of some of the health conditions that may be present among the group that are predominantly over the age of 65 and living in the home as they need assisted help.
The sessions are ran for 30 minutes but you are paid for one hour to cover travel expenses. Travel is required to the homes and preferably by car as sometimes equipment will need to be transported.
At each session a register will be taken and every few weeks some photos and session feedback will be collected.
