We have a job vacancy for an Activities Assistant to work within our Care Home in the Pudsey area of Leeds.

Responsibilities and Duties
· To be responsible to the Activity Coordinator and registered manager for planning & organising activity programmes for residents in accordance with their assessed needs & wishes as recorded in their care plans.
· To offer activities for residents that reflects their individual & cultural interests.
· To provide a well-thought-out set of activities that entertains & generally stimulates the residents.
· To involve residents in developing suitable schedules of activity & to work closely with other staff to ensure that they achieve the best possible outcomes for residents.
Principal Responsibilities
· Help to assess & collate residents’ interests & preferences in association with other care staff member’s particularly key workers.
· Plan & organise programmes of individual & group activities in response to identified wants & needs.
· Work closely with residents, staff & others involved in the organising & running of events.
· Organise publicity & information about the activities being offered, displaying, distributing and updating the information to residents, staff & others involved.
· Investigate, develop and extend the range of activities & interests that the Home can offer.
· Review & evaluate the activities programme so that it is kept up to date and fit for purpose.
· Organise and carry out regular “customer satisfaction surveys” of the activities provided so that they can be continuously improved.

Qualifications and Skills
· Applicants must have previous experience of this role in a care home setting
· Right to work in the UK.
