Interior Health is looking for a permanent full-time Coordinator, Accounts Receivable to join our Financial Services team.
The Coordinator, Accounts Receivable is responsible for coordinating the accounts receivable, billing, and collections functions for Interior Health (IH), including the management of designated staff. The Coordinator assists in the development and maintenance of accounts receivable systems and processes across the region. The Coordinator is also responsible for coordinating customer service support to all partners regarding accounts receivable, billing, and collections functions.

Some Typical Duties and Responsibilities Include
- Coordinates customer service support to all partners.
- Responsible for coordinating the accounts receivable, billing, cashier, and collection functions for IH.
- Responsible for planning, making recommendations, developing, and implementing accounts receivable systems and processes across IH. Provides and coordinates support for the billing/accounts receivable (A/R) functions.
- Provides leadership in order to facilitate the achievement of the mission, goals, and objectives of the Health Authority.
- Responsible for the selection, evaluation, development, discipline, and, if necessary, termination of staff. Negotiates essential service levels.
- Responsible for planning, approving, and implementing automations to affect bargaining unit jobs. Coordinates accounts receivable, billing, and cashier functions, ensuring processing efficiencies, audit controls, and appropriate accounting practices are followed.
- Accountable for fee schedule implementation, collection policy, and makes recommendations to support changes.
- Responsible for analyzing accounts and billing/revenue data and preparation of reports as assigned

Education, Training and Experience
Skills and Abilities
- Completion of a recognized accounting program, supplemented with Accounts Receivable Collection courses.
- Demonstrated computer skills, including Excel, in a complex, computerized environment.
- Five years of progressive management/supervisory experience in a unionized setting.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment. Excellent knowledge of complex, computerized systems and National MIS Standards.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
