The Accounts Receivable team is responsible for the accuracy and timely production of a high volume of invoices each month; this includes adhering to and maintaining internal controls which, if not efficient and accurate in its work and process, will mean delayed and incorrect billing documents that will result in dissatisfied customers and delayed
payments to the business. Management of Customer Master Data and Invoice Dispute process is pivotal in ensuring the successful billing to the correct Customer. The role requires management and ownership of tasks with an ability to manage complex technical processing alongside resolution of disputes using excellent communication skills working with both internal and external Customers and Stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, verifying, and processing incoming invoice requests, involving multiple currencies. Collaborating with different areas of the business, maintaining and working efficiently in line with agreed internal controls.
- Collating job information to invoice duty recovery for various Biocair Subsidiaries, whilst ensuring billed fee’s (Duty and Import VAT) are accurate, reconciled and invoiced to correct clients and consignees.
- Month End billing – Ensuring primary functions of billing are reconciled and completed on a monthly basis, whilst maintaining awareness of the impacts of unbilled items (WIP).
- Maintaining, inputting, and setting up the customer master function. Ensuring correctness and questioning where differences may arise.
- Raising Invoice disputes and related query management escalation to ensure any issues delaying payment and effecting company cashflow are swiftly and effectively dealt with around the business.
- Actively identifying opportunities for improvement to existing processes and support any resulting actions in relation to Accounts Receivable team.
In addition, you will demonstrate these key competencies:
- AAT Level 2 is desirable but not essential.
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of billing in multiple currencies internationally an advantage.
- Strong organisational and people skills.

Please note hours will be 07:30 to 16:30 or 08:30am to 17:30pm and the role is offered as hybrid with 1 day per week being spent at our Cambridge office in Sawston (CB22 3EG).
This is a UK based role and the right to live and work in the UK will need to be established during the recruitment process. Please note we are not currently a Home Office visa sponsorship licence holder.
