To meet the expanding project demands of a rapidly growing company, we are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk.
As part of the finance team, the Accounts Payable Clerk will provide administrative and clerical support for the company’s financial needs.
For this role, your responsibilities include:
- Processing outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Recording daily banking transactions and reconciling to statement balances.
- Performing day-to-day financial transactions, verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Organizing and recording monthly credit card receipts.
- Setting up and maintaining vendor and client accounts.
- Verifying, reviewing, analyzing, and reconciling statements, expense reports, accounts payable ledgers, vendor accounts, and monthly vendor statements.
- Generating and creating reports in a timely manner for management review.
- Tracking outgoing payments. Following up with vendors as required.
- Reviewing and reconciling vendor invoice discrepancies.
- Preparing month-end accounts payable for processing and payments.
- Maintaining physical and electronic records.

- Proficiency in MS Office, specifically with MS Excel.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; efficient, organized, and accurate.

- The ability to work in a high-volume, busy environment while staying on task.
- A proven ability to perform multiple tasks, balance competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience in bookkeeping and/or accounts payable.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Background or interest in construction is an asset.
- A strong desire to learn and grow as part of a team.

- Accounts payable: 1 year (preferred)
