POSITION DESCRIPTION
This role is working with Saint-Gobain professional services, based from offices at our British Gypsum site in East Leake. You will be joining a team of 5 focused on purchase ledger activities, part of a wider professional services team at the site supporting brands across Saint Gobain UK & Ireland.
We are seeking an Accounts Payables Clerk to undertake the processing of invoices and supplier statement reconciliation to the required standard, utilising digital finance systems. We are looking for people that can work with a customer centric can do attitude when responding to queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders. We are seeking team players, willing to contribute to the success and continuous improvement of the wider department.
Duties in the role include but are not limited to:
- Invoice processing to a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
- Assisting with the preparation of KPI data and any other ad-hoc duties.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements, follow-up and resolution of reconciling differences
- Identify issues on accounts and undertake their prompt resolution either with the suppliers or internally within our businesses
- Management of the allocated part of the ledger resolving, blocked, aged and debit items
- Ensure that all work conforms to current internal control procedures
- Dealing with general supplier account queries in a positive and timely manner.
- Assisting with and supporting internal and external audit visits and requirements; including preparation of reports, schedules and procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Prior experience in a Accounts Payable or relatable finance role, we are happy to see applicants from all industry backgrounds.
- Ideally experience of using SAP, Oracle, Navision or similar .
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills for producing and presenting data to stakeholders.
- Good communication skills with a positive customer centric attitude to supporting suppliers and business stakeholders.
