Job description
Our client based in Southend is looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis. If you are studying for your AAT Level 2 or 3 and want the opportunity to work within a large accounts team, then this could be the perfect opportunity to move your career in the right direction.
Day to day duties for the Accounts Payable Administrator will include:-
- Scanning and transferring invoices for processing
- Processing of invoices and dealing with rejections
- Carrying out payment runs
- Producing credit transfers
- Funding shortfall report
- Dealing with queries
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Reviewing and clearing the accounts payable inbox
Essential requirements for the Accounts Payable Administrator role:-
- Strong desire to work within accounts and studying for a related accounts qualification
- A confident team player with an enthusiastic and flexible approach to work
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy and numeracy
- A self-starter with the ability to work on your own initiative and to deadlines
- Strong communication and people skills, including verbal and written communications
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Previous accounts experience and / or AAT studies would be a distinct advantage
