About the Job

Our central Finance team partners across all of our London based brands including Lipsy, Next Beauty, Victoria’s Secret and GAP. Accounts Payable team are responsible for maintaining the expense Purchase Ledger Accounts to ensure payments are processed accurately and within term.

You will be…

  • Together with the Team Leaders (2) ensure smooth running of the AP operations on a day to day basis
  • Ensure smooth running of the AP operations in Pune
  • Be the point of contact on internal and external audit queries
  • Managing attendance and cover within the AP team
  • Prioritising tasks for the AP team in line with business requirements
  • Keeping control over AP postings onto CODA, reviewing Journals
  • Reviewing Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations, presenting these reconciliations together with the team leaders to the FC’s.
  • Supplier statement recs – prioritising, supporting and reviewing reconciliations completed by the team
  • Working alongside current AP Manager – the group is made up of 4 companies, 2 companies per AP manager
  • Reviewing and Authorisation of invoices on NIA
  • Support with review of payment runs
  • Channelling on progression and integration of AP Systems and Process flows
  • Be key in recruitment, on boarding and training of the PL team
  • Managing one team leader and 7 PL assistants
  • Be the point of call for escalation of queries.
  • Be able to attend supplier meetings to provide an update on payments etc
  • Managing cash flow requirements for payments in various currencies

Your Talent…

  • Previous AP manager experience in a retail or FMCG environment
  • Previous management of a team
  • Preferably studying towards accountancy qualification
  • Ability to persevere to achieve results
  • Able to work through to achieve results within tight deadlines
  • Highly organised with the ability to plan ahead as well as have a flexible approach and ability to be reactive.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Proactive and able to use initiative
