Job description
Responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Assistant include:
- Processing purchase invoices with high attention to detail which will include different currencies and high volume
- Reconciling supplier statements to our ledgers
- Performing payment runs when needed
- Processing Proforma invoices from suppliers
- Support the implementation and maintenance of appropriate levels of financial control for all financial processes, systems and documentation and assist with more senior members of the team
- Help with protecting and developing supplier relationships via telephone and email
- Aiding as required to other senior members of the team
- Use of 3 systems regularly
Requirements of an Accounts Payable Assistant:
- This is a perfect opportunity for those wanting to start out a career in finance - full training will be provided with full study support provided for those wanting to complete their AAT
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good organisational and administration skills
- The ability to work under pressure and stick to deadlines whilst keeping
- attention to detail
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
- Experience with using excel spreadsheets to a basic level
