Job description

Main Responsibilities:

1. To maintain strong staff, subcontractor & client relationships across all company contracts.

2. Conduct meetings with management, senior management and clients to identify financial performance and costs/budgets.

3. Liaise with external company accountants in prep for year end accounts, tax and corporate tax returns.

4. Preparation and posting of VAT returns quarterly.

5. Compile detailed financial reports and management accounts on company performance for Directors.

6. Preparing and posting payroll journals.

7. Posting revenue, performing overhead analysis.

8. Posting accruals/prepayment journals.

9. Weekly preparation of company cashflow forecasts.

10. Ownership of balance sheet reconciliation.

11. Compiling completion notes, applications for payment, invoices and tracking of the sales ledger.

12. Contract negotiation with clients, suppliers and contractors along with commercial team.

13. Compile project costing sheets, quotes and business partnering with project management and commercial/contract team to deliver accurate project estimates.

14. Develop detailed accounts logs for specific contracts with the contract managers/project managers.

15. Ongoing Monitoring of all projects financial performance and budgets.

16. Oversee Purchasing & Procurement for suppliers and approval of purchases.

17. Implement new processes, review and maintain.

18. Oversee day to day operations with the office.

To meet the requirements of this position you need to have:

1. AAT Qualified/Degree Qualified and CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent qualification and experience.

2. Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices, plus strong financial, analytical and communication skills.

3. Must be numeracy and IT literate (Excel/Word/Outlook/ERP Systems/Xero/Sage)

4. Excellent attention to detail.

5. Strong organisational skills to manage your own workload and meet deadlines.

6. Be a reliable team player who displays a positive and flexible attitude.

7. A confident communicator able to interact at all levels and adapt to different clients, contractors and colleagues.

Salary, Benefits & Package offer from Rope Access Trade Solutions.

1. Standard hours of 39 hours per week basic working Mon – Fri.

2. Standard hours of work will be 09:00 – 17:00 Mon – Thursday & 09:00 – 16:00 Fri. 3. Basic Salary – £42,000 - £48,000 dependant on qualifications & experience, with potential for additional benefits.

4. 20 days paid holidays plus 8 stats/bank holidays per year and potential for bonus holiday days.

5. Option for pension scheme for all payee staff is also available.
