Accounts Assistant / Trainee Accountant

We are looking for a Trainee Accountant to join our finance department based near Somerton, Somerset. You will be provided with study support to train to towards an accountancy qualification.
Purpose of the job
You will play a key role within the accounts team, being responsible for credit control, ensuring that sales invoices are processed in a timely manner and subsequently paid. You will perform bank and other reconciliations and prepare reports used in the month end process. You will build relationships both internally and with key customers, and provide all-round outstanding service within the accountancy team and supporting all the general head office functions. Training will be provided and the role will progress to complete more complex accounting and taxation tasks as you gain experience.

· Excel skills
The successful candidate with be educated to at least A-level or equivalent. Degree qualified applicants could commence studying the ACCA qualification without first completing the AAT qualification. A desire to study towards a professional accountancy qualification is essential.
