Job description

Purpose of role: This role is working within the Financial Reporting function is responsible for Assisting in all Financial Accounting, and compliance related matters for all business units within MWH Treatment Limited and group companies.



Key responsibilities:

  • Assist in the overall Financial Reporting Consolidation process on IFS, completing various monthly journals and processes as required.
  • General maintenance of the trial balances including Fixed Assets, Accruals, Prepayments and Cost transfers for the business, including assisting in managing consolidated invoice costs as well as other monthly cost reviews.
  • Review of intercompany accounts, posting of any relevant accrual or correcting intercompany journals.
  • Communication with other group entities to agree intercompany amendments and process improvements.
  • Assistance in administration of all bank accounts including all joint ventures in line with the company’s policies and procedures, authority levels and external regulations.
  • Providing general ledger support for the AP, Expense and AR functions.
  • Support Business Finance with invoicing and ad hoc support as required.
  • Assist in verifying and approving supplier accounts and audit of any changes.
  • Assist in processing sales contract applications, ensuring IFS is updated for all cash payments and ensuring any discrepancies are identified and resolved.
  • Assist the Treasury Accountant with Bank and Payment administration as required.
  • Complete allocated balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving differences if any arise.
    • Involvement with the IFS system development team in the ensuring ongoing development of Finance systems.
    • Support the Financial Controller throughout the year end audit process and liaise with external auditors as required.
    • Ensure compliance to all relevant Finance procedures.
    • Any other general finance tasks and reporting as applicable.
