This is a great role within a Media/Entertainment company that is currently in a growth phase. This business works within the TV & Film industry and has various silos of business offerings.
Reporting into the Finance Manager this is a varied role that will see you taking responsibility for the sales & purchase ledger alongside managing & reconciling the bank accounts.
This is a new role that is ideal for an individual looking for a starting position within finance and wants to work within the creative industry. Ideally you will have 6-12 months finance experience, but you will be considered if you have also started to studying for a professional accounting qualification such as AAT or ACCA.
You will need to have excellent communication skills, be adaptable in your approach and have a genuine interest in both a career in accounting alongside a want to work within a fast paced, Media/Entertainment company.

Responsibilities of the role include:
· Maintain and reconcile the purchase ledger, processing invoices from receipt through to payment stage
· Set up and manage the weekly payment run, seeking the appropriate approval
· Manage the debtors list, highlighting any areas of concerns
· Credit control, chasing of outstanding debts as required
· Maintain and reconcile the sales ledger from raising for sales invoices through to ensuring receipt of payment
· Responsible for daily/weekly bank reconciliations
· Responsible for managing the company expenses, ensuring receipts are submitted, validated and recorded accordingly
· Other finance administration duties as required
Candidate requirements:
· Ideally 6 months work experience within a finance team
· Exceptional written & verbal communication skills, being able to explain finance to non-financial people in an understanding manner
· Ideally commenced studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA or similar) and looking to build a career in finance
· Good Excel skills
· Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail and able to work to deadlines
· Team player, great interpersonal skills with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a flexible/adaptable attitude and approach
· Able to learn and take direction from others
· Able to demonstrate good organisational skills
· A genuine interest in TV/Film
