ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

The overview of the Accounts Assistant role is to provide support to the finance manager with the day-to-day functions of the accounts department including sales and purchase ledgers transactions and payments and other administrative tasks. You will help the finance department run smoothly, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all transactions.
The Vella Group are happy to put the successful candidate through their AAT qualification if this is something they’d desire.
- Import Autoflow generated Sales and Purchase invoices into Sage via Import plus.
- Weekly posting of cheque payments and allocating these to the relevant invoices.
- Post overhead invoices not processed through Autoflow.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements to sage and requesting any copies required.
- Liaise with site parts to resolve any issues with missing invoices.
- Process of Mid and End month supplier payments runs and matching to supplier
· payment files in preparation for sign off.
- Post petty cash receipts.
- Reconcile the sales revenue back to Autoflow at month end.
- Post intercompany journals and ensuring the balances all Net off at the end of
· each month.
- Assist with month end journal posting, balance sheet reconciliations and other
· month end specific tasks.
ABOUT YOU:
- Are computer literate
- Are organised, able to follow a structure and have excellent time management skills
- Able to work independently and as a team
- Have a C or above in GCSE Maths or equivalent
- Eager to learn about finance and are open to studying your AAT qualification
