Founded in 1959, Taylor Maxwell started as a small enterprise and commenced operations merchanting bricks and timber in Bristol. Now, we are part of the Brickability Group plc who employ just under 800 people in over 35 locations.
Based at our Clifton head office with onsite parking, this full-time role offers a competitive salary of c£25,000 per annum depending on experience. We have a competitive benefits package including an annual bonus scheme. Study support will also be considered.
Working as part of our friendly Financial Accounts Team you will report to the Financial Controller and assist the department in their daily tasks, ensuring the team meets the Group's financial objectives, in accordance with the Company's Procedures, Culture and Systems.
Main responsibilities:
· Management and distribution of incoming emails to the accounts team mailbox
· Entry of all overhead invoices and reconciliation of supplier statements
· Raising of payments to UK and foreign suppliers
· Expenses processing and reimbursement
· Bank reconciliations
· Company credit card cost allocation
· Stock purchase invoice administration
· Working with the commercial team to resolve stock purchase invoice queries
· Financial reconciliation of timber stock across the group
· Ownership for the intercompany transaction schedules and allocation of intercompany transfers
· Update fixed asset register and associated journal postings
· Analysing & posting monthly accruals and prepayments schedules for the Group
· Weekly payroll for a subsidiary company’s production staff
· Ensure the business follows all required internal procedures and legislation, and assisting finance team during year end audit
The successful candidate will possess a positive approach combined with a flexible attitude. Self motivated with an understanding for the need for effective communication.
To fit within our team you will need to be a team focussed individual who will take ownership of issues and actively seek to solve them. Attention to detail and resilience are essential attributes due to the nature of the role.
We expect you to be an experienced Microsoft applications user including Excel, Outlook and Word and have some experience of using an accounts package. AAT qualified or currently studying
