Accounts & Payroll Assistant required for a temporary to permanent role based in Digbeth, Birmingham. This role is to start ASAP.
Experienced Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join small accounting team reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and any other related duties as assigned.

Experienced Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join small accounting team reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and any other related duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process daily payroll for all employees.
- Reconcile employee timecards and ensure accuracy of hours worked.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and receivable in a timely manner.
- Balance and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Assist in preparing for external audits.
- Liaise with vendors and clients regarding billing issues.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial information.
Requirements:
- AAT Qualified or Studying / QBE
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Assistant & Payroll
- Proficient in MS Office and Excel
Working Arrangements:
- Monday to Friday
- Office based / 40 Hours Per Week
- Temporary to Permanent
