We specialise in the recruitment of high quality candidates in the Accounting sector. We have an excellent opportunity for a Junior Accounting Associate / Accounts Assistant to join a leading international accounting firm specialising in the sports and entertainment sectors. Ideally the role holder will be an AAT trainee and will join one of the Business Management teams focusing on all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping.
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 + Great benefits
Hybrid: 3 days working from home, 2 days in the London office (after training)
Accounts Assistant / Junior Accounting Associate’s Core Duties
- Raising sales invoices and processing payment remittances
- Processing purchase invoices
- Analysis and processing of expense receipts and credit card statements
- Preparing payments
- Preparing and filing VAT returns
- Credit control - both collection of receivables and payment management
- Assistance with commissions reporting
- Assistance with tour reporting
- Assistance with collection and reconciliation of international withholding tax certificates
- Filing of documentation in manual and paperless filing systems
- General support and assistance to the team
Accounts Assistant / Junior Accounting Associate’s Skills Required
- Educated to A-level standard or equivalent
- Committed to further study towards AAT qualification
- Good MS Office experience, especially Excel
- Experience with Quickbooks Online and other bookkeeping software - preferred
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and self-motivated
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Interest in music and media desirable
- Commercial awareness
