ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Mammoth Screen is a leading independent production company which works with the best writing, directing and producing talent to produce bold, high quality television drama for UK and international broadcasters.
Our current and forthcoming shows include Grime Kids and World On Fire for BBC; The Tower, Endeavour and McDonald & Dodds for ITV and Tom Jones for PBS in the US and ITV in the UK. Mammoth Screen is an ITV Studios Company.
We have permanent bases in London and Belfast and operate temporary production bases around the country.
We are looking to strengthen our finance function with the recruitment of an Accounts Assistant who will report into the Assistant Management Accountant and Financial Controller.
The role will allow the successful candidate to work as part of the small but busy team that monitors and supports multiple high-profile productions, it is a superb opportunity for someone seeking a role in finance within the scripted TV production industry.
The role’s responsibilities include:
- Purchase invoice and expenses processing;
- Liaising with suppliers and managing supplier and payment queries;
- Preparing weekly pay runs;
- Preparing weekly bank reconciliations;
- Credit card reporting and processing;
- Maintaining and reconciling petty cash including pre-loaded payment cards;
- Assisting in preparation and processing of sales invoices and internal recharges;
- Contributing to the preparation of management accounts including booking journals, maintaining trackers and schedules including fixed asset register;
- Preparing Reader payroll;
- Assisting with reporting requirements to HMRC.
We would welcome your application if you have strong communication and interpersonal skills along with a high attention to detail. You must be organised with an ability to prioritise and deliver high quality work within tight deadlines.
You must possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to review processes and make recommendations, previous experience with finance processes is preferred but not essential.
You will need a high level of skill in Microsoft Excel (experience with Sage 50, SAP Concur Invoicing Processing, Equals Cards, Barclays and/or Barclaycard would be useful but not essential).
