Accounts Assistant
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a full-time Accounts Assistant, commencing May 2023. The post is based at the Head Office of a medium sized privately owned Ltd company, which operates a chain of ten pharmacies with branches in London and the South East. The Company is an ‘A’ rated Tier 2 sponsor and certificates of sponsorship are available for those who are not UK Passport holders but are suitably qualified for the position and are at present residing in the UK. You will be based at the Accounts and Finance Head Office, in Hackney, London, and will be reporting directly to the Finance Director of the Company.
Your duties will include:
- Accounts payable and purchase ledger administration
- Accounts receivable collation and entry (NHS income, retail sales)
- Credit control
- Bank reconciliation
- Managing the large property portfolio: income, expenses, repairs & renewals
- Payroll data processing
- Collate management account data
- Liaison with branch staff and dealing with suppliers
- Filing and records management
- Additional Ad Hoc duties
The candidate must hold a bachelor degree in accounting and finance or related subject from a recognised University in the UK. Candidates with a Master degree will be preferred. The successful candidate will have knowledge of accounting procedures, must be fluent in written and spoken English and expected to work efficiently in Word, Excel and Outlook. Full training will be provided to gain expertise in 'Observe', the specialist accounting software for Pharmacies.

Hours of work are Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
Starting salary will be in the range £21,800 - £29,000 depending on qualification and experience.
