Click Europe Ltd are a medium and rapidly growing company dealing in Toys, Video Games and Leisure products with a turnover of approx. £15M. We are constantly looking to extend our product range to reflect current trends to keep our product list fresh and exciting.
The company has been in existence for 20+ years and have an established UK and international supplier and customer portfolio both in the wholesale and on-line retail selling environments.
Accounting Clerk Job Responsibilities:
- Supports the Financial Controller on a day-to-day basis.
- Keeping accounting systems updated and monitoring of.daily banking transaction processing
- supplier payments and customer receivables process
- dealing directly with our external partners both in the trade and utilites
- aged creditor and debtor monitoring/chasing
- account opening processing
- assisting with PAYE, pension and UK VAT processing and dealing with HMRC queries
European VAT processing
- monthly reconciliation for bank, credit and finance accounts and investigating/solving issues.
- We would want a person who could, in time, identify process improvements via automation, new systems or utilising unused functionality in existing systems to drive out inefficiency and repetitive/manual tasks.
- Documentation of existing processes
- Working closely with other functions within the company, warehousing, sales, customer services to ensure the smooth running of the end-to-end process.
- Assist with the building of presentation packs for quarterly and yearly reviews with our financers.
- Identifying and implementing cost save opportunities.
- Assisting with our HR department
This is a full-time position, 35 hours per week, with 23 days holiday and pension with the possibility of some home working once trained.
This position offers a great opportunity for someone to gain experience in many aspects of the running of a small company. Over time there would be exposure to various departments and how they function i.e buying, accounting, stock/warehouse management, wholesale/retail sales, customer services and marketing/media.
Accounting Clerk Qualifications/Skills:
- Good knowledge of Sage 50 Accounting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint/PDF and Outlook
- Reporting skills
- Organization, attention to detail, productivity, and dependability
- A drive to identify areas to improve processes.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- University/college degree in a related discipline is an asset.
- Previous accounting experience preferred

Salary: £25,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
