We are currently on the lookout for an Apprentice to join our valued Finance team in London working within the sales ledger department. We have a good track record of successfully recruiting and training previous apprentices, and you will study towards your AAT qualification.

There will be rewards for each exam you pass, and part of each working day, you will be required to study (8 hours per week based on a 40-hour working week). As part of your career within the company there will be opportunities to move within the finance team, so you will get exposure to other areas of finance and accounting.

The sales ledger department handles all of the invoicing, cash posting, reconciliations of accounts, sending out statements, setting new clients up on the system, and general sales ledger admin duties.

Job Details

  • Process credit account application forms/ checking documentation provided and chasing anything missing.
  • Opening customer accounts within our CRM and accounting system
  • Assisting the credit control team with admin
  • Producing weekly invoices and sending out to client
  • Producing weekly statements to customer
  • Assist with posting cash and bank reconciliations.
  • Assisting in query resolution

Profile

To be considered for this position based in our Central London office the following criteria is desirable.

  • Team player
  • GCSE's ( Including Maths & English with grades 4/5 and above)
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Already working in a part time environment, whether that's in retail or hospitality.

What you can expect

  • Starting salary £14,000 - £15,000pa
  • Hours of work Mon to Fri 8.30am - 5.30pm with 1 hour lunch (40 hrs per week)
