A leading training company is searching for a reliable, self-motivated and efficient Accounts Administrator, to manage our company’s accounts, both payable and receivable. The successful candidate should have a Finance or Accounting background with a strong working knowledge of book-keeping. It is essential to be proficient in the use of Sage 50 Accounts, Sage Payroll and Excel.
We have a small in-house team of training facilitators who are supported by a pool of freelancers. We deliver leadership and team development training face-to-face and virtually. We own and operate two outdoor learning centres in Reading and Burton-upon-Trent, where we run many of the training programmes we deliver. Your role will be to provide an excellent service that meets and exceeds the expectations of the SLT by keeping up to date, compliant and accurate financial accounts and providing timely and accurate management accounts.
Your key responsibilities will include:
· Preparing, sending and filing customer sales invoices and chasing debtors
· Processing payments for suppliers, employee salaries and expenses
· Reviewing and reconciling bank accounts
· Monthly and year end routines using Sage
· Provide monthly financial and management accounts
· Calculation of salaries/commissions
· Preparing returns to HMRC (VAT and PAYE)
· Pension administration
· Maintaining HR System with sickness, annual leave etc
· Liaising with Bank and Accountants
· Monitoring of bank account balances
· Oversee budgets and liaise with budget holders
· Monthly attendance at SLT meeting
