Accounting Specialist
Trimble is looking for a highly motivated Accounting Specialist to manage and coordinate accounting efforts for the Structures division. The right candidate has a proven track record of success in maintaining accurate records, streamlining administrative processes and working with a diverse group of stakeholders to achieve common goals. This role will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance for the Design and Engineering divisions .
Job Responsibilities:
Assist with credit management, including assessing credit limits, quote approvals and calculation and posting of bad debt provisions
Involvement in month end US GAAP (ASC 606) revenue accounting
Annual statistical standalone selling price analysis
Balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, in addition to other accounting close activities
Manage creation of new ERP customer accounts
Support annual and interim audit processes, including handling internal and external audit requests for information
Assist with department wide projects to improve process efficiency and add value
Experience:
Proven experience in a comparable accounting role
High School diploma or GED required
Experience with SAP, Oracle or similar financial software
Intermediate skill with Excel and Google Sheets
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Listens effectively, transmits information accurately and understandably, and actively seeks feedback
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously, and drive cross-functional teams to meet common goals is essential
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information and records with a high degree of discretion, diligence, and good judgment
Identifies and resolves problems promptly and gathers and analyzes information skillfully
Well-organized, self-directed team player. Remains open to others’ ideas and exhibits a willingness to try new things
Agility to deal with frequent change, manages competing demand, or unexpected events
Demonstrates professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in interactions with co-workers, customers, vendors, and others
