About the Job
Taulia is in search of a collaborative and experienced Accounting Manager to join our growing accounting team. As an Accounting Manager, you will have proven your ability to operate effectively in a dynamic and complex environment. You will manage operational diligence as well as a blend of technical and functional accounting tasks. You will work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to help evaluate and improve our processes to inform Accounting best practices.
Core Skills and Key Competencies
- Own one or more accounting cycles for all accounting and reporting activities, including reconciliations, one-off analyses, trends, and monthly flux analysis
- Manage month-end close for certain processes and accounts owned
- Continuously work towards improving efficiency and accuracy of financial close
- Document processes and desk procedures related to cycles owned
- Establish and implement policies, as deemed necessary to support existing business activities and growth
- Streamline, automate, develop, and implement best practice accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes when needed
- Research guidance, propose accounting treatment, and roll out the implementation for technical accounting matters
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
- Design and launch new processes, operational and accounting based on Company’s growing needs
- Contribute to establishing and strengthening internal control processes and procedures, including analysis, documentation, identifying and implementing improvements
- Evaluate and implement new system tools and improvements, as deemed necessary
- Liaise with internal business partners and cross-functional teams to gather data, improve processes, and support business needs
- Collaborate with team members to accomplish team’s and company goals and drive projects to completion
- Review work prepared by others, provide guidance on improvements
- Cross-train with other team members to ensure coverage of accounting areas, as assigned
- Contribute to projects, as assigned
- Ad hoc analysis and reporting requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 8+ years of accounting/finance work experience
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Excel and financial accounting systems – NetSuite is preferred
- Experience with SAP, Concur and other SAP products is another plus
- Ability to manage workload to meet established deadlines
- Eagerness to learn and expand into new areas of responsibility
- Proven ability to think critically and solve complex problems

- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter focuses on the goal at hand and sees projects through to completion

Compensation is based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to): skills, depth of work experience, certifications, geography, etc. Total compensation for this role includes a generous benefits program, RSU incentive plan, and annual performance bonus.
