Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Manager to join our team. As the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and accurate recording of accounting records for our two operating subsidiaries located outside Austin and in West Texas. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on our financial operations and contribute to the overall success of our organization. While we prefer the candidate to be in Dallas, we are open to considering applicants based in Wichita Falls as well.
Responsibilities:
- Take charge of the month-end close process, including managing the percentage of completion files for ongoing projects, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Collaborate with the General Manager on financial decisions, leveraging your expertise to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
- Actively participate in all corporate initiatives for our Dallas-based businesses, contributing your financial acumen to drive strategic outcomes.
- Maintain balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the integrity of our financial records.
- Review monthly, quarterly, and annual results, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Assist with the year-end financial statement audit, working closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain records necessary for Federal and State Income Tax filings, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Foster professional relationships throughout the organization, promoting cross-functional collaboration and a customer-centric approach.
- Support the development and updates of the Annual Operating Plan, providing financial insights and contributing to the overall strategic direction.
- Embrace additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to various financial initiatives.

- As a financial leader, you will effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization, demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Develop a deep understanding of our business operations, margin drivers, revenue streams, customer value propositions, as well as key processes in billing and the cash cycle.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience in accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or an equivalent field.
- Previous supervisory experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and mentor a team.
