The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the general accounting team to ensure appropriate financial accounting and reporting for KKC, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and current regulations. The ideal applicant will come with solid leadership skills and understanding of the importance of organizational culture as it relates to building trust, leading a team through accountability and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Document accounting procedures and ensure they are bring consistently followed by inspecting what you expect
• Responsible for preparing, reviewing and approving monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure the month-end close process meets agreed upon deadlines
• Ensure appropriate audit support for close activities
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financials and lender reporting
• Perform variance analysis to budget and prior year
• Assist Finance with creating annual budgets and quarterly forecasting reports.
• Focus on continuing improvement of accounting functions and processes
• Create and maintain a documented system of internal controls, accounting policies and related procedures
• Performs well independently and takes initiative; be proactive and challenge the status quo
• Coach, mentor and develop an accounting team by consistently demonstrating a positive professional attitude, integrity and reliability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 4 years of applicable experience
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel
• Ability to quickly adapt and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Experience with NetSuite is a plus

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree

Required Experience:

• 5 years of GAAP experience
• 5 years of working Accounting experience
• 5 years of proficient Microsoft Excel experience
• 2 years of Public Accounting experience

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of experience leading other
• Minimum 2 years of working NetSuite experience
