An excellent opportunity to join a small boutique Accounting/Tax Advisory Practice in their search for an Accounting Intern (with good tax exposure) for high net worth individuals and business clients.
Responsibilities:
1. Closely monitor and track internal processes and procedures following full tax and accounting cycle for clients
2. Daily status update and reporting for internal and external parties
3. Document internal processes and manage filing and documentation
4. Maintain fluid communications amongst team members regarding tax compliance deadlines
5. Manage team calendar and schedules
6. Assist the wider team with client and HMRC related queries and communications
7. Manage client information for tax filing and report preparation
8. Assist clients in the completion of various tax registration forms and bank opening
9. Respect client confidentiality and sensitive business information, and report any issues which may affect client relationships
Depending on performance and candidate's potential, could offer the following responsibilities as career progression, and sponsor professional qualifications:
- Participate in tax return preparations for individual and business accounts,
- Participate in compliance and advisory projects, in the following areas: 1. financial accounting, 2. tax planning and trust, 3. corporation tax, 4. entrepreneur relief, EIS/SEIS relief, 5. VAT, 6. property tax, 7. international tax.
Requirements
- Fresh graduates or with 1 years work experience or less
- Accounting, tax, business, economics or legal related degree is an advantage but not necessity.
- A self-starting individual with the ability to identify issues and use initiative to solve problems
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
- Intermediate computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Willing to work in a multi-site environment (home, office, client site)
- Fluent speaker of Chinese Mandarin or Cantonese and proficient in reading and writing would be an advantage.
