New Key supports adults with learning disabilities across the South West of England in an individual way to help them build the life they want. We are seeking to appoint an Accounting Assistant to join our busy Totnes office.
The purpose of this role is to provide support to the Finance Department. You will
be responsible for supporting the Finance Manager with invoicing, pensions and general book keeping tasks.
Main responsibilities:
Monitoring daily communications and answering queries
Ensuring payments, amounts and records are correct
Invoice processing and filing
Assisting with administrative tasks that fall within the responsibility of the
department
Additional work when required by managers
Skills Required
Experience/Knowledge of accounts is desirable but not essential.
Good Communication Skills
Confidence in using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, knowledge on how
to use Microsoft outlook and Microsoft Teams
Knowledge of SAGE Payroll software desirable but not essential
Ability to show initiative and work within a team.
Ability to build good client relationships
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that enable you to build
rapport with people at various levels
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload in a
timely manner
