Are you a highly skilled and experienced accounting professional looking for a challenging role? We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounting Analyst to join our dynamic team. The key objective of this resource is to ensure accurate and timely preparation and delivery of financial results in conformity with US GAAP while supporting department and company-wide initiatives to develop our business and grow internal capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all daily and monthly accounting activities are completed.
- Perform timely preparation and/or review of all journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Maintain and operate effective internal controls as well as thorough procedural documentation.
- Coordinate internal and external audit requests.
- Understand the end-to-end data movement and source of all data used in accounting and reporting.
- Understand and apply US GAAP and implement new accounting guidance when necessary.
- Participate in the financial reporting process for preparing quarterly and annual financial statements as well as quarterly submissions to Japan.
- Support key company and department initiatives.
- Propose and implement improvements to existing analyses and develop additional analyses and activity metrics to meet changing business and informational needs.
- Provide, and support for other team members, either through direct assignment or indirect team leadership.
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience in accounting financial reporting, or other relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Strong understanding and practice in the application of US GAAP.
- FDICIA/SOX compliance or internal control experience.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills in closing process gaps and resolving issues.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and advanced functionality.
- A mix of public and private industry accounting.
Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
- CPA or CPA candidate.
- Big 4 Accounting experience.
- Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or Treasury experience.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau, and Power BI reporting tools.

- The expected starting salary range for this role is $70- $92. The salary will be determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, relevant education, qualifications, experience, technical skills, and business needs.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in OrangePeople monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
- Contribute to OrangePeople technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
- Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
- Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
