Role: Sr. Accounting Analyst (1231466)
Location: Plano, TX – Hybrid: twice a month. Local candidates preferred for now.
Duration: 6 Months (Extension depends on the projects and performance.)
· Requirements:
· Very Important: Please keep in mind that we are looking for candidates that have heavy experience in accounting (full cycle General Ledger close and reconciliations) and financial reporting in the last 5-7 years at a public company.
· 6 months contract to start with. Extension depends on the projects and performance.
· The team is the key for the financial reporting for the bank
· Loans, deposits, investments, the resource will help with day to day: JE, Financial reporting, reconciliations – daily and monthly.
· US GAAP – Mandatory
· FDICIA/SOX compliance or internal control experience – Mandatory
· Accurate Internal reporting.
· 5+ years of experience is a must

What are the Roles and Responsibilities of this role?
The primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
o Ensure all daily and monthly accounting activities are completed.
o Perform timely preparation and/or review of all journal entries and account reconciliations.
o Maintain and operate effective internal controls as well as thorough procedural documentation.
o Coordinate internal and external audit requests.
o Understand the end-to-end data movement and source of all data used in accounting and reporting.
o Understand and apply US GAAP and implement new accounting guidance when necessary.
o Participate in the financial reporting process for preparing quarterly and annual financial statements as well as quarterly submissions to Japan.
o Support key company and department initiatives.
o Propose and implement improvements to existing analyses and develop additional analyses and activity metrics to meet changing business and informational needs.
o Provide and support for other team members, either through direct assignment or indirect team leadership.

Must Haves:
o Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
o Experience in accounting financial reporting, or other relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibilities.
o Strong understanding and practice in the application of US GAAP
o FDICIA/SOX compliance or internal control experience
o Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills in closing process gaps and resolving issues.
o Proficiency with MS Excel and advanced functionality
o Mix of public and private industry accounting
Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:
o CPA or CPA candidate
o Big 4 Accounting experience
o Financial Services, Banking, Insurance, or Treasury experience
o Hands-on experience with Tableau, Power BI reporting tools
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $55.00 - $65.00 per hour
