
Accountant - Newsprinters - 12 Month FTC Peterborough, England
Job description
As a Newsprinters Accountant your role will be an essential part of the Newsprinters finance team, reporting directly into the Newsprinters Senior Finance Manager and based in the Peterborough office.
Day to day you will:
Input into the weekly reporting process to ensure accuracy and identify areas for simplification and efficiency
Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations are completed and understood and ensure accurate commentary is provided
Review and completion of month end submissions
Ownership of Budget and Outlook processes for Newsprinters revenue and costs
Regular communication with the London Finance teams; ensuring a close working relationship and effective communication at all times
Effective business partnering across the sites to connect with stakeholders
Provide support/cover to the wider team, including Newsprinters projects and supply chain initiatives.
What we’re looking for from you:
We’re looking for someone ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent with relevant work experience. Some of the skills you will need include:
Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement, simplification and efficiencies
Ability to be curious – both identify and resolve issues
Communicating effectively across a wide range of stakeholders including Directors and senior managers and with all levels of staff in both Newsprinters and the wider finance teams.
