About the role
To be responsible for reconciling a portfolio of property service charge year ends in line with the RICS Service Charge Code of Practice and dealing with property transitions in/out of the firm.
Some of your duties and responsibilities
- Audit the annual expenditure listings and income
- Check invoice descriptions to actual paid invoices and where these are not clear make amendments where applicable
- Analyse the current and following year expenditure listing to identify possible accruals and liaise with Property Managers for approval before processing journals
- Confirm with the Property Manager on tenant apportionment percentages and make changes to the database where applicable
- Prepare spreadsheets, generate reports, create Service Charge pack.
Personal requirements
- Studying towards an Accounting Qualification is preferred (AAT or ACCA)
- Organised and have great attention to detail
- IT and software skills, particularly Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and to adhere to deadlines
- Good communication skills, written and verbal
