This is an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to lead our growing Finance and HR function. If successful you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting our business growth strategies. The ideal candidate will have experience in the manufacturing sector and a proven track record in financial management.

Starting salary between £40,000 - £55,000 depending on experience.

- Preparing and delivering accurate, timely month end and annual management, including financial reporting to the board of directors
- Build good working relationships with the internal operations teams, external advisors and banks
- Prepare tax filings, review contracts and other legal documents as required
- Provide delivery of KPI’s
- Monitor and report on cash flow, working capital and manage financial risks
- Participate in other projects as the company and its finance function develops
- Review and report back on unexpected variances withing the reporting
- Review and challenge existing approaches and identify opportunities to improve and simplify
Here's why you'll be great in this role:
- Proven work experience in accounting field for a minimum of 5 years
- ACCA or CIMA qualification or equivalent
- Experience in international VAT returns
- Experience of acquisitions and budgeting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Ability to use own initiative and propose improvements
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
