About us
Our goal is to provide an outstanding service to our clients based on a professional, agile and rigorous approach as a public practice accountancy firm.
The ideal candidate will have good technical accounting knowledge including VAT and Corporation Tax, strong experience of accounts preparation and the capacity to maintain accounting records to a high standard. The role will require you to work on clients from small limited companies to businesses with turnovers up to the audit threshold.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintaining clients bookkeeping records
- Preparation of quarterly VAT returns
- Preparation of statutory financial statements for limited companies
- Preparation of partnerships and sole traders accounts
- Preparation of tax returns
- Company secretarial work
- Payroll processing
- Liaising with HMRC
Skills, Personality and Experience:
- Holding or working towards AAT / ACCA qualification
- Sound UK public practice experience (minimum 2 years)
- Good knowledge of accounting standards and tax
- Software skills – Excel, Xero, Quickbooks, VT Transaction+, TaxCalc.
- Good command of English and confident communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, work on own initiative and with precision and accuracy
- Energetic yet flexible, open minded and easy going
- Able to project a professional and credible image and maintain confidentiality
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 24 per week
