- Conducts third-party billing for student tuition, fees, books etc.
- Prepares and sends invoices for all other miscellaneous services as needed.
- Works with Veteran’s Advisor on billing charges and maintaining files for student veterans.
- Serves as lead cashier, backing up payment’s office.
- Receipts money, balance cash drawer and closes cashier sessions daily.
- Verifies and processes student refund checks.
- Reconciles and bills monthly bookstore charges, including departmental charges.
- Receipts payment for invoices, including ACH payments, and maintains up-to-date accounts receivable list.
- Processes and maintains liability insurance policy information.
- Invoices for Continuing Education contract training.
- Prepares state exemption reports.
- Maintains records of student appeals pertaining to state exemptions.
- Processes childcare invoices for payment.
- Processes SAIL Grant
- Maintains TPEG file
- Invoicing for Bookstore Rental Defaults.
- Assists with cashiering duties as needed, including issuing student ID cards, gift cards and registering for exams;
- Balances and maintains cash drawer
- Ensures excellent customer service when greeting and assisting customers in person, via email, or over the phone
- Assists students with questions regarding their accounts, including explaining refund process and researching discrepancies.
- This position will access student records and will follow all FERPA guidelines, maintaining student confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned by Business Office Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED required- Some college credit preferred
- Two years of experience with Accounts Receivables
- Experience in a banking or financial institution preferred
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Expertise with calculator and basic office equipment, and be able to use MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Internet
- Must demonstrate excellent customer service
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle controls, key pads, etc. Will be required to sit and reach with hands and arms as well as, sit, stand and walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds while loading office supplies and paper. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, some color vision, and the ability to adjust focus from documents to computer screen. Hearing of light to moderate sound is required by this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
