Job Summary
Provides financial information to the senior accounting staff by researching and analyzing accounting data and prepares reports.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepares general ledger journal entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Prepares bank reconciliations as well as daily balancing several cash accounts
- Prepares general ledger reconciliations
- Works with vendors to reconcile any account discrepancies
- Data entry
- Prepares schedules to assist management to analyze financial information
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities
- Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Education and Experience
- 3-5 years of relevant accounting work experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel required
- High School Diploma (or equivalent GED) required
- Some college level coursework in accounting preferred
- CPA firm/banking experience a plus
- Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
