The Role
Valu-Trac is currently recruiting for the position of Financial Accountant to join its Fund Financial Accounting team.
This is a full-time permanent position with remote and hybrid working available.
Duties will include
- Prepare and review interim and annual report and financial statements. Example financial statements can be found at https://www.valu-trac.com/administration-services/financial-statements.
- Prepare and review trial balances, working papers and schedules required for the accounts.
- Preparation of the annual corporation tax calculations for the funds
- Prepare and review audit packs to provide to the external auditors.
- Liaise with the external auditors on information requests and comments.
- Support the filing process of accounts to the regulator and stakeholders.
- Work with the internal and external parties to obtain all data required to prepare the accounts along and communicating any findings from the Accounts work.
Desirable skills, knowledge, and experience:
- This role is open to candidates who are part qualified, studying towards ACCA/ICAS accountancy qualification or have experience in practice or a fund accounting background.
- Demonstrate strong organisation skills
- Show experience in working towards tight deadlines
- Be a confident team player and show a wiliness to support fellow team members to be capable and confident themselves of fully contributing to the work of the team.
- Have excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with other departments and external parties
- Microsoft office familiarisation – specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
