Job description
The Faculty of Environmental & Life Sciences finance team are seeking to appoint a part time (0.6FTE, 21 hours a week Tues-Thurs) Faculty Accountant - qualified or a finalist - to be part of our professional team.
The prime responsibility of the post will be to act as the main point of contact for the financial management of all accounts relating to one of our five schools in the faculty. This will involve carrying out a range of professional accountancy tasks to assist in planning, forecasting, monitoring and year-end process to assist the Head of School to maintain budgetary control.
You will be well organised, with excellent analytical and numeracy skills, with an eye for detail and capable of effectively managing a wide range of simultaneous projects/activities. The successful candidate will be self-motivated and can prioritise their work in order to meet deadlines in a busy environment. Good communication, IT and customer service skills are essential to the role.
The successful candidate will be line-managing 1 member of staff. This role will include flexible working between Home and Highfield campus, which is where key stakeholders are based. Further details can be discussed at interview stage.
