Are you an experienced accountant (or MBA engineer) looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to the overall success and smooth running of a growing business?
Our client, a leading provider of innovative packaging machinery solutions, is looking for a qualified accountant (or MBA engineer) and dedicated to lead our accounting team.
Being on-site (first 6 months), you will be responsible for developing your ability to supervise the accounting process. Also, as part of your duties, you will be primarily responsible for the management of various accounting activities, in order to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. In addition, you will actively contribute to the overall efficiency and success of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the execution of day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, general ledger entries and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure the execution of month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and accrued liabilities.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
- Proceed to the cost price by offering sound advice on results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect and analyze financial data for cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and liaise with external auditors during the audit process.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement effective accounting procedures.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documents.
- Be informed of industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
Qualifications:
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (Ideally, MBA engineer with experience in finance).

- Bilingualism (English important for the North American market).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency with accounting software (Sage an asset) and advanced skills in MS Excel.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to generate and communicate clear work instructions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
