Summary
Responsible for full cycle accounting up to and including the preparation of financial statements. Other responsibilities include job costing, payroll, cash flow, budgeting, refunds, variance and financial analysis

Responsibilities
- Responsible for keeping accurate records; both digital and paper
- Create and maintain company sales workbooks
- Reconciling daily, weekly, and monthly sales for all sales outlets
- Reconciling gratuities and service charges
- Prepare monthly government remittances for GST, PST, MRDT
- Maintaining general ledger
- Reconcile account balances and bank statements
- Assist in overseeing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Assist in the preparation of semi-monthly payroll and associated remittances; EHT, WCB and Source Deductions.
- Ability to pass on information regarding special requests, complaints, suggestions,
- Communicate any pertinent information to the Accounting Manager, Assistant General Manager, General Manager and related department leads.
- Assist with employee training on various Point of Sale software and implement required changes within the software including price changes, new departments, items, taxes, etc.
- Prepare monthly financial statements
- Assist in the preparation of financial year end and various government audits
- Attend meetings as requested
- Carry out any other accounting duties as required by Accounting Manager, Assistant General Manager and General Manager.
