Description
QED are currently representing this leading law firm who are actively looking for an Accounts Clerk to provide support to their Accounts Department.
The Principle duties and responsibilities include -
- Provide accounts and clerical supervision to the Accounts department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Undertake deliveries to the required destinations and carry out banking duties as required.
- Nominal coding invoices.
- Processing invoices/Disbursements.
- Chip and pin payments
- Banking
- Accounts Admin Filing.
- Taking accounts calls
- File closure checklists
- Providing cover for holiday in Accounts
- Setting up damages and payments
- Updating archive details on the case management system
- Retrieving files and Deeds from storage (both external via email and internal in person) upon request and distributing accordingly
At times the successful candidate may be required to cover the Post room and assist with general office assistance.
