Michael Page are partnering with a global Asset Manager to assist them in hiring a Corporate Accountant for their London team.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities for this Corporate Accountant role in the Financial Services Sector in London:

• Key customers are The Companies Management Group in Toronto and the London based Finance team
• Oversee a few corporate entities - responsibility is an all-encompassing, total ownership basis
• Month end management accounts and reporting for assigned entities - timely and accurate monthly closing of accounting books, including journal entries, intercompany agreement, and preparation of all required supporting P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of monthly VAT return and accompanying balance sheet reconciliation
• Annual statutory financial statements preparation. Where applicable audit file preparation and assistance with external auditors
• Preparation and involvement in the annual business plan process and periodic reforecasting for entities assigned
• Assist the accounts payable team with invoice coding where required
• Interaction with the offshore service providers where entities are within the Companies Management Group outside of the UK
• Establish strong working relationships with the London based Corporate Executives including tax, legal and compliance teams and other Company businesses
• Interface with Company colleagues worldwide
• Involvement in ad hoc initiatives, reporting & analysis requests, as well as process improvement projects

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate for this Corporate Accountant role in the Financial Services sector in London:

• ACA/ACCA/CA/CIMA - Newly Qualified or 1-2 year PQE
• Strong academic background, degree educated
• Deadline oriented, good time management and organisational skills
• Proficient on Excel and the MS Office applications suite
